Abstract

PROOFS CONCERNING TRADE BETWEEN HARAPPA AND MESOPOTAMIA CIVILIZATIONS
All of the world's first civilizations have been settled on the river sides which are near the fertile agricultural land. Geography has influenced people in terms of social, economic, cultural and religious aspects. People of Harappa-Indus civilization who preferred to live close to water resources - have existed between 3000 and 1500 BC and have exchanged the surplus product that they obtained from agricultural lands, raw material and processed materials with other countries. Harappa civilization traded with Mesopotamia, the overseas region, where it interacted most outside the surrounding areas. Trade is the main driving force for the two civilizations to interact. They have established internal and external trade networks with the techniques of land and sea transportation which was far over its age. Our study aims to demonstrate evidence of trade in both regions and to demonstrate the relationship between these two civilizations.
